Shadow of Ice (A Poem)

“Shadow of Ice”
-Michael David Anderson-

I’m going to burn this shadow away
And commit my soul to the gray
And as thy flesh decays
It may, it may crumble and fade away

For the sky shall remain forever cold
And in its clouds I am told
That souls are lost, they are sold
And taken away into celestial folds

In their wake the sky shall fall
Ice will chill one and all
And as each specter traverses the hall
They will touch us, one and all
